My Pick of MAC’s Top 5 Faves (Neutral!)
I’ve deviating away from my paper, because I’m about to lose it. It’s very difficult to read an autobiography paperback consisting of 250 pages and summarize its main ideas in 6 pages with MEANING towards our class content. The author is sporadic and has such a verbal diarrhea, his one sentence is 3 lines long in font 12! I must motivate myself to dig further, but I need a break!
My top 5 picks of Neutrals from MAC!
The cosmetic store can be so overwhelming with row and rows of lipstick and eyeshadow, I think it would be a good idea to pick out some of the BASICS. Of course, you can totally reject my list, but I have my reasons!
1. Eyes: Paint Pot in Bare Study
Excellent shimmer base for your eyelids for any color! You can have droopy eyes from a late night fiesta and just the tiniest bit of layer and shimmer will perk your eyes right up. You can also finish it off with a thin layer of liquid liner and you’re good to go OR layer it with shades of color. It’s really good stuff! (If you like more of a matte look, Soft Ocher, is also suppose also be really popular but I think it looks like yellow concealer.)
2. Lips: Tinted Lipglass in C-Thru
Every SA I know seems to recommend this color as a staple. It’s a very pretty soft peach-nude color that can also go with any skin tone. It could be worn alone or on top of lipstick to give that extra gloss and shine. My first ever MAC product and a keeper!
3. Lips: Lipstick in Plink!
Plink! reminds me of a virgin girl as red reminds me of a vixen. The color is described as “Yellowed seashell pink” with luster, but I don’t see much yellow to it. Instead, it gives your pout a natural pink tone like you barely even tried, but you were just born with pink lips.
4. Shadow: Vanilla
Universal color and pigmentation! Very shimmery, sparkly and sweet! Great for highlighting areas like your brow bone, cheekbone and whatever bone you wish to accentuate! It’s also great for winter and summer! In the winter, you can combine it with darker colors to give some definition and in the summer just mix it with your bronzer!
5. Face: Blot Powder/Pressed
Available in 5 different shades for your skin tone, this powder helps control you face’s oily t-zone and gives you that freshened up look. I haven’t personally tried it, but heard it finishes that makeup and reduces the shine for a clean look!
